Poll question: How often does your cat go outside?
Now that summer is here, mine fits into the every five frigging minutes category. He's driving me nuts today! :silly:

1. Other.
Once or twice a week.

The one who loved to go out at night was taken down by a vehicle.

2. Awwww.... I'm sorry
I live well off the beaten path - my cat was born outside and has gone in and out his entire life (10 years). He pretty much stays in at night but during the day, he'll come in and out and in and out and in and out at an amazing rate. I think it's a security thing - he likes to know that he can.

4. I was saddened.
But he was a feral rescue who never lost the love of the outdoors. If any of ours want to go out, I let them out. There are 20 feral or mostly-feral barn cats out back that keep ours in line.

3. Every once in a while...
my male cat will sneak outside - and then spend the entire time hiding under the deck before coming back in looking scared and frantic.

Bizarre, that.

5. mine uses the doggie door
here in AZ we have cement block 6' fences that hubby calls the cat highway

the neighbor cats go all over on those fences

my kitty (feral rescue) goes in and out as she pleases. right now she's kicking it out on the patio in the shade

we also have a waterfall feature on our pool and she loves hangin up there in the small area where the water pools before it spills as long as it's dry (which it is usually)

6. My parents have cats.
Funky can go outside because she just sits on the deck and checks things out.

Clarence can't go outside because he'll run off.

Magic doesn't want to go outside. It scares her.
