I miss my grandma's PORCH SWING
I don't know anyone who even has a porch anymore *sigh*

I loved visiting her and sitting on the porch swing.

1. My Grandparents have a porch swing at the family cabin

It's got the best view of the compound and everyone uses it.
Here are my Grandparents, my Aunt, and my Cousin sitting on it.

2. Darn! That brings back memories.

My grandmother has been gone over 35 years. I loved to lay with my head in her lap and swing.

:hi:

3. Memories -
I remember my grandmother having one, too. It was quite old even then, but sooooooo comfortable. In retrospect, the comfort in "comfortable" came from sitting or laying on it while my grandmother gently rocked it, and not from the upholstery :)

Sweet memories, those.

4. Mine had a swing behind her house.
We used to sit and laugh for hours on that thing. And her front porch. I just miss her. Period.

5. My "growing up house" on Loomis Blvd had two swings - front and back
porches. Back porch (enclosed) was padded and was a great place to lie down and read a book although you could get "seasick" if you "swang" while you read.

we kids all used to really make it fly!

7. My brother and I
spent time on my grandparents porch swing, swinging it side to side, and pretending we were on a ship in a storm. Funny how something that simple could bring so much enjoyment.

8. My Grandma had a glidder.....
Looking over a twenty five foot full out gorgeous Rhodie...

And right behind that, you could just get a peek at the insurance pond...

Which had tame fish....

We weren't allowed to go by the pond until we were over six or grandpa went with us...
