my dog killed some animal and I can't figure out what it is
My dog isn't a hunting dog. But you know how dogs can be.

He brought some critter up to the porch. It's not mangled or anything, but I'm not sure what it is.

Looks like a cross between a rabbit and a rat.

Any ideas?

11. One of my friends actually has roadkill is his freezer
He explained the situation to me.

Him and a buddy were driving the rural roads and came across a dead dear, that had been hit by a car. The got out and the animal was still warm. They loaded him up and took him home and "processed" him. I'm not really fond of deer meat, but I don't have anything against what they did.
