Check this out:

The Law of Three in the metaphysical teaching of G.I. Gurdjieff is also called "Triamazikamno" and is described by Gurdjieff and his followers as "the second fundamental primordial cosmic law" The Law of Three is dualism plus a third force.

The three forces are Active, Passive and Neutral. These three are the law at the second note of the Ray of Creation and are called "Theomertmalogos" by Gurdjieff in his book "Beelzebub's Tales to his Grandson". It is supposed to be the basis of everything in the universe and humanity, all the structures and processes.

The three centers of consciousness in a human, which Gurdjieff said were intellect, body and emotions, are an expression of the law of three.
