...yet wave, o'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave |

unless you are Mexican, right Sensebrenner?
Oh my GAWD who in their right mind would approve of a spanish version of the Star Spangled Banner?
Why worry about 2400 dead soldiers, billions going to oil companies for war profiting, the environment deteriorating at a rate astounding scientists, species extinctions increasing.
No the REAL problem according to the republican party are the Mexicans.
Wow, you can smell the fear coming off the GOP in waves can't you? 2006 has them soiling themselves and they tried to make us hate peopel trying to come to this country because it is the "land of the free and home of the brave."

I say abolish the song, find something else if it's really That important to 'em, and concentrate on things that really count. It the end, when the planet is nothing but a big, arid, dead chunk of space rock, who's gonna give a shit about the "Star Spangled Banner?"
Who Really gives a shit about the language it's sung in now? Well...other than the people who are trying to use it (and the language) as a distraction.
Only time it distracts me is when it's pissing me off.
And with that...I'm off to watch my ball game.
And subject myself to Wayne Metzmer's version of it.
