Poll question: How hot do you like your spicey food? |
|
I like it hot, though sometimes I get on a kick and slather everything with hot sauce.

1. There's more than one type of hot |
|
there's the sting hot, and then there's the lovely, multifaceted warming hot that just makes your mouth water
not such a big fan of the stinging hot, it's boring

It was sooo hot,I stuffed some of the rice that they had as a side dish and it was hotter then the chicken. This was at a Jamaican booth.

9. I went to a Jamaican restaurant once... |

It was really good. I forget the name of it but it's on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, NJ. Anyway, I went there with a friend to see Gina Ferrera, kind of African drumming but with English lyrics. I think she's really good and I recommend her CD.
The place definitely had the laid-back Rasta thing going on. We called ahead to ask if they had a bar and we were told they did. When we got there, we found out that yes, they physically had a bar, but they did not have a liquor license. The waitress told us that we were welcome to bring in anything from outside, so my friend went across the street and came back with a 6-pack of Red Stripe. We both ordered the Veggie Wrap, which was listed as not-spicy on the menu. It took a good hour or so to get to us, but we had beer and music so it was okay.
I loved it. Just rice & shredded cabbage, carrots, etc in a wrap. However, it was probably one of the hottest things I've ever had to eat, and I order my stuff made "hot" at the Indian restuarant. My friend was barely able to eat hers but I gobbled it down.
