Poll question: Gas station is 8 miles away... its prices may be $2.64... |
|
Gas prices closer to home went up to $2.89
I need 4 gallons.
Net savings is $1.00
Should I go out?
I do need to be in the area just to make a small return, but it's hardly necessary and I'm already fatigued.

1. No. Is it worth making a 16-mile round trip? |
|
You wouldn't even be saving the buck, because it takes gas to get there and back.

2. You mean that your tank is 3/4 full? |

Or do you mean that you are going to be making a longish trip and don't want to stop for gas along the way? I am not sure whether you or I am the exception or the rule. I usually don't gas up until the gas light comes on unless I am going on a long drive and don't want to stop along the way. I would never make a special trip just for gas unless I was leaving early the next morning for a longer drive or I have been driving on empty long enough that I am afraid that I won't make it the 4 mile round trip to work the next morning.
