Good Wednesday Morning, Crew!

:donut::hi:
Welcome to the Hump Day edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: Wow! It's Wednesday already. Time is just flying by! A minute ago it was Sunday. *tick tock* Wednesday! Luckily, I have today off from work and I am going to spend it working on what I can to help the house buying thing proceed apace!

Both Tony and Bandit have vet appointments this morning at 10. Greekspeak has to be over at FSU for a meeting at 10, so that means I'm going to have to take them over there myself. I'm not quite sure how THAT'S going to go, but I know it won't be easy trying to handle both of them at the same time (Bandit in the pet carrier and Tony on the leash). I'm sure it's going to look rather comical!

So, let's get this day started, shall we? It's going to be a great day! :bounce:

82. No, it's not.
Still, it's fun. It goes by fast when you get into the subject, but with the other grading I have to do, I just as soon have the day off. You can make "Vacation" by The Go-Go's the Song of the Day on Friday, when I've turned the grades in and I have a few weeks off coming to me! (Although the night classes continue and Summer Session starts in June.)

62. Not that interesting. I have to use the really cheap food, I am a uni
student.

Just some rissoles cooked with a touch of garlic with noodles and sauce (ketchup and kecap manis), then some peas and beans & dill.

If I had garlic and dill. Which I don't.

Oh well.

Fruit is cheap here. As in something that the uni students eat.

I have heard the poor in America are often overweight due to the fattiest food bieng the cheapest.

Which must suck.

*sigh* the plight of the poor.

You know, the hot water system in this building is terrible. I had to run the hot water for a good five minutes before it warmed up at all. Then when I turned on the cold water to even it out it got even hotter. Once I finally got my desired temperature I started my shower. A few minutes later, when I had shampoo running into my eyes, of course, the water went ice cold. Who knew taking a shower could be such an adventure?

Oh what a busy night it's been. Had to slay some meanies in GD, then take out a troll in R/T (yes, an atheist hit the "alert" button a dozen times on an atheist troll, if you can believe that!). Later this morning I have a boring meeting for work (the usual quality services, blah blah blah, some other stuff, blah blah blah then time for employees to whine about stupid crap, etc.)

Eventually I'll be able to get home for some sleep. :boring:

Trolls are always fun
This one posted like a dozen threads that were pure flamebait. Nothing but cut and paste jobs purely intended to provoke outrage. It was some twit with barely over 100 posts--just enough so that he could go on such a spree. He won't be here much longer. :P

I'd skip my meeting today but then it will show up on my monthly review. I might as well go and get the 1.5-2 hours extra pay. I still can't get over the one where the guy was there to discuss the new health insurance. He was talking about how we'd be covered if we were vacationing in Canada, and one nitwitted employee asks, "What about if you're in an airplane that's flying halfway between the US and Canada?". :banghead:

I swear I sometimes wonder if they put these people in as plants to drive me crazy.

I clicked on a couple of them, but I saw what he was doing and so left. I see a tombstone in his immediate future also.

is to go to bed at the same time every day and get up at the same time every day. Greekspeak has to do that because of his insomnia.

75. I used to always have a work schedule where I couldn't do that.
I'm not working currently, so I just kind of sleep when I'm tired regardless of whether or not it's a "normal" time to sleep. In general, I'm really adaptable when it comes to sleep. I can adjust to a regular schedule in a day or so.

I've got to get with the broker today. I'll know some more information once I get finished there. It's good to see you today, my dear! Congratulations on 5,000! :bounce:

I hope everything has smoothed out on your end!

127. I've got 5,000?
I didn't even notice! Thanks! :bounce:

No smoothing happening over here yet. And my laptop died yesterday -- a royal pain b/c I do all the financial stuff on it. Yeah, it's backed up, but the old dinasaur has Windows 98 on it, so my external hard drive won't talk to it, and harleydad's laptop doesn't have the right software on it. I'm hoping it's something simple like a bad battery or loose connection somewhere. I will never buy another Dell computer. It's not even three years old and it was very expensive.

The good news is that my mom got here safely from CA. It's a hard trip for her, so we'll probably take it easy today and float in the pool. :D

Let me know if you find out anything today, OK? :bounce: Is this a new broker?

129. Oh wow. YUCK! I'm sorry bout your laptop.
I hope it's something easy to fix. Will it not even turn on or do you get error messages? Yes, take it easy with your Mom today and let her recuperate from that long trip. It's the same broker...I want to talk at length with him before I proceed. I'll certainly let you know!

134. Well, it has dancing pixels sometimes.
Then, if I hook it up to an external monitor, it seems to work OK. But sometimes it won't even boot. I read somewhere that Dell laptops act funny when the battery goes bad. It won't be cheap to fix, I'm sure, but I can't afford to replace it.

Well, good luck then. I'll be waiting to hear how it goes. We expect to hear something today or tomorrow. Right now I have to go fix Mom some breakfast. I'll check back if I get a chance. :loveya:  :hi:

136. OK, my dear.
I couldn't afford to replace a computer right now either so I hope you don't have to. If I don't see you before I leave to get some things going, I'll see you in the morning! :bounce::loveya::hug:
