6. Disagree. He's dishonestly conflating prostitution and human trafficking.

Look at this, from the article: "This is our chance to show we don't accept prostitution and the human trafficking associated with it." And: "Human trafficking for purposes of sexual exploitation is violence. Sex is one thing, prostitution another. The link between human trafficking and prostitution is obvious."

But he does seem to be objecting to human trafficking (and I'm *not* saying there is a link--*he* is), rather than prostitution itself.

His stated problem is legal prostitution. As there is no way to employ trafficked people legally, it is clear that the legality of the prostitution can't cause the trafficking.

Actually the hope is that the legalization will actually help stop the trafficking. This is for several reasons:
- no need for Pimps. (they are in fact still illegal)
- A way to do it legal. If it's illegal, criminals will run it - including slave trafficking
- Unions, tax enforcers, health officials and labor condition watchdogs can be more effective than vice police ever was
