(as was Mario Lanza), so if -- like me -- you'd say Elvis was the most influential, musically and culturally, then Caruso is like a grand-influence, or something. :-)

"Don't Stop" by Fleetwood Mac is sung as an optimistic ditty. Read the lyrics these days and some would find it damn depressing.
