Are you planning on seeing "Mission Impossible 3"?
I saw the first two, but Cruise has developed into such a controlling freak that I'm doing my own small protest by not seeing his films--I doubt that it will have much effect--the film will probably be a big hit anyway.

1. What did Letterman's staff inject Cruise with before the show last nite?
He seemed oddly subdued

3. No.
Action movies bore me for the most part. And Tom Cruise hasn't been good in anything since "Risky Business."

4. No
Not because of TomKat, but because overproduced action flicks never do it for me.

8. Probably when it comes out on DVD, I'll Netflix it
I liked the first two and though I think Cruise is a wingnut, I've enjoyed several of his movies.

9. A resounding NO!
I stopped watching Tom Cruise movies after Rain Man came out. I just couldn't stand him as an actor any more. Now that we know he's a misogynistic freak, that's even more reason for me to stay away from his movies.

10. Nope.
I don't like Tom Cruise, and I don't like JJ Abrams, plus this really isn't my kind of movie, so I think I'll be skipping this one.

11. We don't really need them now that we have Damon's Bourne movies.
I enjoyed those far more than the MI movies.

:hi:

PS. I really enjoyed your book.

I read about the first one and how they massacred the series (which seems to happen a lot with movie productions of former TV shows) and refused right from the start to see them.

I saw the first one. That's enough.

If you've seen one Tom Cruise action film, you've pretty much seen them all.

Saw the second one first, while traveling and thought it was a screaming pile of junk (overnighting in an Australian hotel room, so maybe travel lag made it seem worse than it was). Tom Cruise's character might as well have worn a cape and unitard because he was about as invulnerable as Superman. I saw the first one later and thought it was a little more reasonable -- there's also room on the screen in it for the other characters -- but still didn't think it was all that great. Better, but worlds away from (below) the Bourne movies references above, and anything else of the sort.

I've rarely gone to the movie theater in the last 20 years and this one sure wouldn't tempt me to go.

17. I'll be the first to say "yes"... at least probably
He always plays the same basic persona on the big screen, but I think Cruise has had some pretty good movies.

And, it has a good cast - isn't Philip Seymour Hoffman in it?
