Housework
Man, I hate it. There was a time when I was in my early 20's, newly married with small kids and I actually enjoyed cleaning my house. I think it was because it was so novel and new, like playing house.

Now it's just a chore. :nuke:

I'm off work until the 15th healing from knee surgery so I decided I was going to make it a mission to thoroughly clean the house, one room at a time. Today was the living room. I'm done, it looks nice, but I take very little joy in it.

I guess I missed out on the housekeeping gene.

1. You mean I'm not the only one?!
I always considered myself the anti-domestic! :D I try to keep on top of it, but I can be easily distracted...

I hope your knee is doing well. :)

4. Thanks
It does help to move around though I'd rather be outside taking a walk than traipsing up and down the stairs doing laundry!

3. Amen to that, skygazer.
I've been trying to get my husband to help out with the housework for 26 years. I absolutely hate it and consider it a big fat waste of my time. Unfortunately, my husband considers it a waste of his time, too.
As a result, there are cobwebs in certain parts of my house and the floor is definitely NOT clean enough to eat off of. It's OK--I'm a happy slob.

5. The problem with housework is that you don't
get to see the fruits of your labor for very long. You clean it--it gets dirty again. You straighten it up--it gets messed up again. It's just never ending.:banghead:
