Who knew that killing your adulterous wife along with her lover after catching them in the act and then displaying their hacked-up corpses in the streets would help you to write music that was about three hundred years ahead of its time?

I once heard an hour long show on fm radio dealing with dissonant Italian Renaissance composers other than G. I still wish I'd have taped it. C'est la vie.
