My Guitar! (only pic could find of it...)

I LOVE my blond maple Dean cutaway git-box (with amp pick-up....have a nice Marshall amp just for fun :) )

Am getting back into the git-box! Have played rhythm pick since age 9, and have neglected this over piano for too long...again ;D

2. Sweet! I Just Bought an Ibanez SR800 Bass
I play in a band for the fun of it. We play original rock and a few covers to keep the singer and guitar player happy.

10. Lemme get that puppy tuned up first
It needs strings, frets and some neck work. But I just heard about this shop in Gilroy that's supposed to be really good.

I got a six, too, though.

SOOOO fun to play!

BTW-- my Dean is soooo much prettier than the one in the pic I posted...Mine has abalone all the way around the front body...and the sound is ALMOST as pretty as one of the Martin rosewoods I grew up playing...

12. My dear Whoa_Nelly!
I really respect anyone who can figure out where to put their fingers...

Without any clues!

I am hopelessly klutzy! My fingers just cannot do that sort of thing...

BUT.....I do make an excellent and appreciative audience...jus' sayin!

18. Very nice, indeed!
My guitar is an Ovation 6 string acoustic.

My brother-in-law is an excellent bass player and has a very cool Hofner as well as another one whose name escapes me at the moment.

Actually, my house is full of music and musical instruments - Yamaha midsize grand piano, Yamaha alto saxophone, Selmer tenor saxophone, Hammond B3 organ, Hammond CV organ, Hammond X77 organ, various and sundry electric keyboards (Elka, Yamaha, Korg), a bunch of sound and mixing equipment, as well as Klipsch horn speakers, some other Klipsch speakers that are massive but oh so incredible, and various and sundry other pieces of musical equipment.

It used to be worse - I used to have drums, too :)

25. Oooo, another Hammond head!!!
B-3, B-2, L-100, and M-102 (found in someone's trash!) here. X77's are really unique organs too. Also Korg Triton and Yamaha S80, 4 electrics, an acoustic, 2 basses, and madolin, and a beat-up stage 73 Rhodes. I've started fiddling with ProTools, I've worked with it at other studios but never had it at home until recently.

What kind of Klipsches do you have? I had a pair of 1975 Heresies for a while, got 'em for $16 at Goodwill...just needed one tweeter diaphragm. Ended up selling them to finance a DIY bookshelf speaker kit...I'd love to get a pair of Fortes.

I have to have my music...it's the only thing that keeps me sane sometimes! :D

24. STARTED PICKING IN 1945 - LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.
My father started me out on a lap steel. They placed in on a couch cushion and I played it on my knees, from the floor. Played Steel Guitar, Guitar, Fiddle, Banjo, and Mandolin professionally for over 30 years. Still play in church and on occasion some benefit or function.

Get your guitar tuned, start playing again, and stay with it. Your guitar will never mistreat you, and you can mentally ride it off into the sunset anytime you want.

26. Very good-looking box...
I've never seen a Dean acoustic up close and personal- No dealers around here.

I (occaisionally) play a 1972 Yamaha FG185s, a Gibson L6-S Deluxe, and a new-ish standard Stratocaster. Wish I had more time for my toys....
