Jim Bouton wrote in "Ball Four" about how the fans there were "oddly reserved" when he got traded to Houston near the end of the 1969 season. Said they just sat there until the message board told them to make some noise.

I've noticed it's like that at games in Atlanta, too.

When his two sons came to their first game in the Astrodome, he said they started yelling "We want a hit!" and people turned around to look at them.
