I bought a paper shredder today
Target had 'em on sale, so I figured what with getting credit card offers in the mail at a rate of about one per day...

But nobody told me these things are fun. :bounce:

13. Yep, mine's a cross-cut one, too.
The only real problem is that once the novelty wore off, I found myself stacking up all the shreddables and then having to spend an hour at a time feeding the devouring machine... and emptying it a couple of times along the way - which is messy no matter how careful I am.

Still, wouldn't go without it, though!

Better to shred and then recycle than to leave stuff with personal information, etc. intact in a blue box.

:toast:

Would be perfect for that.

32. My daughter did that...
used the shredded paper to create some very artistic and funky paper.

The first go-round was a bust.... but once she and her friends got the hang of the shreddings, glue, water ratio, they did a fine job.

37. There's a chap in my city who does that
goes through dumpsters and makes his own paper, to recycle it rather than have it go to waste. He even made a sort of turbine with an old bike, to spin dry the paper.

He then makes notepads with it (for covers, he uses other things he finds, such as pop boxes, old album covers, etc).

Oh, btw, he's got a PhD, so he's no ordinary dumpster diver.

In fact, I just said last Sunday, "It's like Jesus says: 10 Commandments are too many to remember? Then just remember this one: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you should love one another."

So by my calculations, you have 16 too many. :P
