I personally think the "Ticketcams" at the signal lights are unconstitutional, as one cannot confront their accuser in court.

1. It is my understanding the Ticket comes in the mail.............
And it isn't Registered mail. If i get a letter from a company i don't know (Most municipalities aren't the ones mailing the tickets. It is typically a contractor that operates the cameras, if i am not mistaken) i toss it out. If i get registered mail from the Sheriff, i open it.

Those camera systems are a boon for the cities and a ripoff for the public. I heard a recent study showed increases in rear-end accidents in camera equipped intersections. Seems people slam on the brakes harder in order to not run a yellow.

4. Many of the cameras are aimed so they show the driver pretty clearly
Nifty stuff you can learn on Discovery channel.

3. People in MN break the law?
Wow, who'd have thunk it? Minnesotans are possibly the most boring people to ever walk the earth, well, make that slowly shuffle from house to house.

5. My dear KitchenWitch.....I must disagree......
I have seen SO MANY people run red lights, and get away with it....

It really makes me mad! :nuke:

If I'm in the front of the line and someone turns left in front of me, and s/he violates my right of way, then I pull out into the intersection, and lean on my horn.....

I want to scare them into behaving better next time.....

Those people deserve and need tickets.....They are a menace!

I think the ticket cameras can be abused, of course....

But if they are set properly, they can be helpful.....

Just my 2 cents!

:hi: :pals:

6. In 1980, I spent about a month driving around Spain.
One year after I got back, I got a ticket in the mail. I had been observed "en cine" in Valencia going about 10k over the speed limit. They wanted me to send them $300US.
