question
Say you fail a course in college then take it again. What happens exactly? And in case you are wondering yes I failed a course this semester much to my embarassment.

1. Ah, an area in which I have much expertise!
Generally what happens is that the old grade is replaced for GPA purposes, but the F remains on your transcript despite it not affecting your GPA.

4. Ok so basically I retake the course
and say I get a C in it and that's on my transcript when I transfer. I am transfering within a year or so. God I hate Math. Should have never taken a course that says have good computer access and be able to learn indepedently.

2. Depends on the policy of the college
In some schools you can take the class the following semester and that F magically goes away.

Don't worry, many among us have bombed a class or two along the way. :pals:

3. You take it again and you pass
and you move on to a brilliant career.

I have never been incarcerated, much to my embarrassment. But I have high hopes.

6. Yeah I hope that an F in a basic math course
doesn't hinder me from getting a great job.

Even General Boy will have to retire some day.

7. You should be able to take it again that grade will go into the GPA.
You may or may not still have the F on your transcript. I have had an amazing spectrum of grades over my college career. I'm pretty much a college dropout. I'm starting bartending school on Monday though.

8. I think my grades are going to be a clusterfuck
because of my uhh highly functioning autism. Bartending school that sounds interesting, good luck.

9. I was always the ADD kid in honors classes with absolutely no...
regard for grades. If I liked the class and the teacher, perfect. If not, very not perfect. My parents never quite understood that.

11. I've got ADD too and ADHD
I wonder how big of a mess my brain is with all the shit I have. I know exactly what you mean about classes and teachers. I failed chemistry the first time as a junior because it was in the morning, the teacher was a bore who had no place in a high school teachign environment then I had my senior chem teacher who used all sorts of things and I passed the class with a C+.
