It's kinda spooky when a documentary talks about your hometown as the Mecca of the Mexican Mafia — what Chicago was to the gangsters of the '20s and '30s.

I grew up on the side of Salinas where the gangs were born. It sure as hell wasn't like this when I was a kid.

there was a documentary on The Learning Channel (TLC), showing in the opening shots, a KKK Rally, in the very same town.
