My CAD project (vanity post, but oh well)
Please forgive the poor picture quality; I just learned how to plot in .jpeg format.

This is due tomorrow, and I still have several more things to do.

This is the main page. Enjoy!

1. Nice SG.
Congratulations.

You'd get along swell with Aitch. She Autocads or Microstations everything.

And it only took 27 gallons of coffee.

So, Beast Man got an A in the class, and his Prof offered to be a reference listed on his resume. Yay Beast Man!

3. Nice.
Who needs tone and volume controls anyway? Just have the factory set the volume at 10. ;)

Is that an Epiphone? That's what it looks like judging from the headstock.

Nice job on the tuning machines.

5. I forgot to turn on the layer for the knobs before I plotted it.
And the stopbar is missing. Oops.

6. Being a cad myself, I can say that's a nice one!
SGs are amongst my favorite guitar designs.

7. Someday, when I'm all grown up,
I would like to own a real one. This is just an Epi, but it serves me well.

9. Thank you!
I'm missing little things, though. Like I posted before, I forgot to turn on all the layers before I printed, so the volume and tone knobs are missing! Also, I forgot to change the lineweight on the neck. Little things, but they add up.

10. beautiful, Beware the Beast Man!
I am wanting to learn Auto-CAD so badly, but don't know where to go? I can't afford to go back to school, is there another way to learn it?

11. I first started using ACAD 2000 and the manual.
You can always seek help here, as several of us are CAD drafters. Do you have a copy of AutoCAD?

13. I think Mr. LD might have one somewhere...
is there a free copy on-line somewhere? What is the best, cheapest way to get a current version? Thank you for speaking with me about this, and for your help-

15. I use ACAD at work.
That's the easiest way to get it, I guess.

Might try Ebay for a full version of at least 2000i. If you do secure a copy PM me and I will get you a copy of Express tools. It's a set of useful tools that Autodesk should just have incorporated years ago.

16. Good job!
I love drafting! The one artform I'm good at. And it's a lot harder on a computer than by hand.

I'm sure we are all proud of you and pleased at your success. Hey you are one of us! Part of the family! And your success is our success!

(BTW - a vanity post isn't a vanity post if you actually have something to be vain about.)

Khash.

18. Hey, that looks great!
I draft on Vectorworks, but also want to learn ACAD.

Did you do each layer in a different color?

Enjoy your success, I know you worked hard at it. How long have you been learning ACAD?

21. About 3 1/2 years now.
I did it sparingly at my last job, mostly adding existing blocks to shop drawings. It's much more hand-on at my current job, but most of the drawings I do there are already drawn in Pro-E. I have to convert them to CAD and dimension them out.

20. Wow, thanks everybody!
The project was a success- the instructor raved about it, which is nice because there was a ton more I wanted to do with it, but just didn't have the time. I guess I'm just a perfectionist that way. :)

Here's a couple more pages:
