Yay! My friend serving in Iraq gets to come home May 14th!

He's only back for two weeks before he's getting sent back to Iraq though. :thumbsdown: I'm just happy that I get some time to hang out with him, get him drunk and discuss our hatred of the president.

2. Yeah, we went to HS together.

He joined the army mostly for the money, and now he's over in Iraq doing army intelligence. He agrees the whole situation is fucked up, but at least he has a relatively safe job and he gets to play on the internet all day. I haven't seen him since August when he got out of training, was briefly sent to Alaska (supposed to be a year there) and then off to Iraq.

Whenever I hear of someone in Iraq, my mind automatically dials-up "worst-case scenario." I glad to hear your friend is not in that sort of situation.
