Okay, I'll try changing the thread title & kicking. BACK PAIN - HELP! |
|
Edited on Fri May-05-06 03:06 PM by bertha katzenengel
Not for me, for Mrs. V. She said she wants to find a 3-year-old to walk on her back.
If you don't have a 3-yr-old to walk on your back, what's a good sub?. also no large dog.
Also she doesn't like to lay on her stomach. What to do?

Can she lay on her back? If she can it might relieve some of the stress. If not-well, Vicodin can help...

3. Is it muscular tension? |
|
For that, I've found laying on tennis balls helpful....where the worst of the tension is...but I can't say it would be appropriate for her.
Some stretches may also be helpful.

4. A very gentle and repetitive pounding on the back always |
|
works for me. Also, if someone kneads right below my shoulderblades. Also, pay attention to her shoulders. It hurts at the time, but feels much better in the long run. :-)

5. We've got a four-year-old. |
|
Want to come to Michigan? :)
Other than that, my advice is stretching and soaking in hot water.

6. You can do it...just keep one foot on the floor so your full weight... |
|
...isn't on her back.
If she doesn't like to lay on her tummy due to large boobies....roll up a small towel and put it between said boobies vertically. That might help.

Other than that, any exercise that tightens the abdominals helps the lower back - those muscles help stabilize it. Also, easy gentle walking is a good back exercise.
