My regimen o' pills just got bigger
I was at the chiropractor this morning, and he asked me if I took a multivitamin (yup). Then he asked if I took fish oil, and I said no, but I've heard good things about it. Come to find out, it's good for your joints in addition to being good for your brain and heart.

So now in the morning I take:

•a multivitamin
•co-enzyme Q-10, which counters some side effect of Lipitor on the heart
•a niacin supplement, which promotes the production of "good cholesterol"
•glucosamine, mostly for my knees
•fish oil (tuna Omega-3)
•ginkgo

And at night:
•Lexapro
•Lipitor
•more glucosamine

That's 14 pills a day.

6. Thankfully I'm down to five
plus a multivitamin, a couple of fish oils, and a couple stool softeners (to offset those anti-Ds). Ain't modern medicine wonderful?

3. I take more than that at one meal
:o (all supplements, I may add)

I wouldn't be ingesting the tuna oil if I were you. It would be better to either get a balanced omega 3-6-9, or if you want to stay with fish oil, get Carlson's, Nordic Naturals or Eskimo, which are the best. I can't afford those, but use Natural Factor's pharmaceutical grade fish oil.

As it's a large fish, I'd be concerned about toxins/heavy metals in the tuna oil.

Oh...and you need to take vitamin E with that coQ10. :hi:

5. You've got me beat by 11 pills.

However I have a feeling that might be increased by one more pill after my next office visit. x(
