but there is a great article about the history of it and a guy who now makes it in France... it was in the New Yorker about a month or two ago. According to the article the risks are mild to nil if it is distilled properly.

17. My favorite drink of all time...

It's been called a Malibu Bay Breeze (but I think Captain Morgan's coconut rum is better than Malibu). It's really a "fru-fru" drink, but that's the way I like 'em.

You put about a shot of the coconut rum in a glass with ice, then fill another 3/4 of the glass with pineapple juice and top off the last 1/4 of the glass wtih cranberry juice. Stir, sip, and enjoy while thinking of being on a beach somewhere with no distractions whatsoever.

Yum, yum, yum. Very mild but so yummy. I haven't been able to drink alcohol (b/c of my meds) since February. I told EP that once I'm off of these meds, I'm going on a 3-day binge!! :)
