There is an article in the May issue of Glamour called "The New Lies About Women's Health" that details the hijacking of the FDA by religious fundamentalists who are denying women access to emergency contraception and spreading false information about women's medical procedures in order to "scare" women into abstinence or, if THAT fails, having a baby. It is an outrage. :grr:

I am glad I live in Illinois and we have a law prohibiting fundamentalist pharmacists from forcing their religion on women who are trying to get their LEGAL prescriptions filled, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, et al are against my principles and if I had my way I would never be involved in the dissemination of their filth, but when I worked at Barnes and Noble, I had to suck it up and sell those books.

It's not about what I want, it's about what the customer wants. Similarly, it's not about what medicine the pharmacist would or wouldn't take, it's about their patient. If they can't handle that they need to get out of that profession. I have absolutely no tolerance for anyone's religion when they start trying to enforce their dogma on me.
