Tomorrow is prom night, got our two teenagers going, wish me luck! |

Holy cow, my son is a million times more work than my daughter. Although it is his first high school prom, you would swear he was accepting an Oscar tomorrow night. Daughter is cool, only issue is the hair. Please everyone say a prayer for me for tomorrow.

Two at once sounds like fun. ;)
A little prom story for you: My mother made my dress. Prom was on Saturday night as normal. My date called thursday afternoon to talk to me but I wasn't home from school quite yet, so he asked my mother how my dress was going. "I'm almost done cutting it out" said my mother, but it will be ready before next weekend." "Debbie," said my date, "prom is this Saturday." "Oh shit," said my mother.
I had a dress and it was lovely, but mom didn't sleep much thursday night.
I guess what I'm saying is that since you've planned ahead it certainly could be worse. :)

I WAS going to make our daughter's dress, until I had a nightmare about meeting the deadline. Our daughter is very curvy and finding a dress for her is a nightmare in itself. Of all places, we found the last dress in Maine that fit her and it was at all places Fashion Bug, and on sale. No planning, just good fortune. I am so pleased your Mom made your dress. If I had another year, I would start it now and probably still not get it done.
