Ghost Whisperer---Last Night *** (Spoiler Alert)**** |
|
Edited on Sat May-06-06 12:50 PM by MrsGrumpy
How in the heck can they be killing Aisha Tyler off? I love her. I was worried last week with the way it ended and then at the end of last night's show when she told her she was dead...I was pissed. The show really needs her. I predict it being cancelled...if she's not just off in her car...in a coma, somewhere. :(

1. It's already been renewed |
|
But yeah, it was really sad. I had an inkling that she was dead last week when she showed up in the store so soon after the crash. I wonder if she'll still be "around," though, since the hat guy was next to her.

2. I knew it had been renewed for next year, but I doubt it will make it |

through to sweeps if they get rid of her...
...here is what I think might happen. Remember when the guy in the hat said he would let the other souls go in exchange for Melinda? Maybe he will make a trade...?
*** I had to explain the ending to my husband four times. :)

3. Maybe - that's possible |
|
She's definitely the best character on the show. Killing her off would be so dumb. My DVR crapped out on me halfway through it so I had to wait two hours to watch the ending to find out what happened, and if they found the little girl, etc. :D

her in everything I've seen her in. She used to live behind my brother and sister in law and is a very nice person IRL.

6. I've always really liked her too |
|
She's funny - she's been on a lot of those VH1 "I Love the '80s" shows. It's nice to know that she's a good person IRL too. :)

7. I like Aisha Taylor, too. |

I was surprised she was doing Ghost Whisperer, because I think she's best in comedies.

5. Not sure if I like this show... |
|
I've watched Ghost Whisperer from the beginning. At first I thought it was really really bad, but good at the same time. The early episodes were especially awful where at the end of each show...
The ghost would say, "Blah Blah Blah"
Jennifer Love Hewitt would tell the loved one, "The ghost says Blah Blah Blah."
The loved one would reply, "Really? Tell the ghost that I blah blah blah."
Then Jennifer Love Hewitt would report back to the ghost, "Your loved one says Blah Blah Blah."
Wash. Rinse. Repeat a couple of times.
But, the writers have gotten better at that necessary part of every episode.
Yes! I was upset re: Aisha's and immediately supected she had died when she returned from the crash. I think the show needs her, too. Perhaps, she will hang around in limbo as Jennifer Love Hewitt's partner in battling the guy with the black hat.

You've described those endings perfectly. :D
I think she might be a partner against the hat guy too, at least I hope so. Like MrsGrumpy, I can't imagine them killing her off permanently - that would be really stupid.

10. I couldn't stand the "Are they gone..?" question.... |

But I love the show. Oh and the fact that she didn't repeat verbatim what they said. That pisses me and MrG off.

8. The show is just a vehicle for Jennifer Love Hewitt to show cleavage |
|
and wear false eyelashes... I am really surprised it got renewed.

11. Perhaps you don't like it, but many of us do. Sorry. |
|
I'm not surprised it got renewed, and Hewitt (who is not really a favorite of mine) is usually wearing high necked Victorian style clothing. Don't like it, don't watch it. :hi:

I've seen a couple episodes :-)
they both ended the same way, with actors having conversations while not looking at each other, which inevitably reminds of this Simpsons exchange
Homer: Marge? Since I’m not talking to Lisa, would you please ask her to pass me the syrup? Marge: Dear, please pass your father the syrup, Lisa. Lisa: Bart, tell Dad I will only pass the syrup if it won’t be used on any meat product. Bart: You dunkin’ your sausages in that syrup homeboy? Homer: Marge, tell Bart I just want to drink a nice glass of syrup like I do every morning. Marge: Tell him yourself, you’re ignoring Lisa, not Bart. Homer: Bart, thank your mother for pointing that out. Marge: Homer, you’re not not-talking to me and secondly I heard what you said. Homer: Lisa, tell your mother to get off my case. Bart: Uhhh, dad, Lisa’s the one you’re not talking to. Homer: Bart, go to your room.

18. Except at least they repeated it almost verbatim. |
|
I hate it, hate HATE IT... when Melinda switches words around.
Example:
Ghost: "Tell her I love her, and it hurts me not to be with her."
Melinda: "He says he misses you..."
NO HE DOESN'T!!!! HE SAYS HE LOVES HER AND IT HURTS HIM NOT TO BE WITH HER!!!!!
