Ah, ice cold sake from a box and edamame and Pretz
Edited on Mon May-08-06 07:51 AM by Rabrrrrrr
Yummy!!

Now this is civilized living.

Also have Dark Star playing, from the August 27, 1972 concert.

(and by sake from a box, I mean a masu; not the sake itself came from a box ala boxed wine)

1. What's a masu?
Is that a vending machine?

2. It's a sleestack eviscerator.
:P

It's the little wooden boxes used for drinking sake -

Mine is made from cedar, and comes from Ise, so it is a holy masu. Well, maybe not, but it's about as close to holy as can be gotten, anyway. :-)

5. Never had sake from a box
I'd probably dribble it all down my shirt.

6. Nah, it's not that hard.
The natural human instinct not to spill alcohol will automatically keep you from dribbling. :7

Seriously, though, it isn't hard - I was worried at first as well, but found out that it's just like drinking out of a glass, and I have yet to spill.

3. mmmMMMMmmm, four uneven chunks of cheap Colby Jack cheese
from Costco, a diet Pepsi, and Johnny and June on the player... I don't know what the hell it is, but it's living at least. ;)

4. Toss in some camel cigarettes with the filters torn off
and a jelly glass of Jack Daniels, and you'll be living the Michigan Dream!

10. And if you could do that about 7 am with curlers in your hair
while your children run naked and filthy on the half-dead grass filled with rusty nails and other debris outside your trailer home, that would be sublime.

8. Isn't sake supposed to be served at room temperature?

9. Not necessarily.
usually it's ice cold or warmed up. Not always, but usually.

I don't think I've ever had room temperature sake, except when I served it to myself at home, except this time I bought it chilled and have kept it chilled in the fridge.

11. I made some myself once. At two years it was good.
At four years it would knock your frick'n socks off!

12. You made your own sake?
You let it sit for two years?

Sake is not to be aged - it's to be enjoyed young and fresh!
