Nowadays they cover other bands and write their own stuff.

There's a group in Boston called the Cello Chix, two cellos (high tech electric models) and drums. They're not really metal, more general oldies, but "Sunshine of Your Love" is in the set. And they're women.
There used to be another group called the Sob Sisters, two cellos (doubling such things as ukelele) and musical saw, whose repertoire was American pop from the '20s and '30s, songs like "Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue." They dressed in period costumes too, very theatrical But one of them moved out of town and another had a kid, and consequently they no longer perform :cry:
