Good Night and Good Luck: Who's Seen It?
Edited on Tue May-09-06 12:56 AM by Brigid
I suppose there may have been a thread about this movie back when it was in the theaters, but now that it's been out on DVD a while, who's seen it? I thought it was extremely well done, and it didn't hurt that a certain totally hot former ER star was in it and directed it. Edward R. Murrow would be doing this :banghead: if he were to come back and see the state of what so often passes for TV journalism these days. Though I would love to see him take on Rush or O'Reilly.

1. Awesome, awesome movie!
I like the way it completely blurred the line between the journalism of the 50's and the journalism of today (read: it hasnt changed much).

2. I've seen it.
It was excellent.

Of course they were talking about today's journalism as much as the 50's.

3. Saw it in the theater, and then bought the DVD when it came out.
Awesome movie -- and yes, Mr. Murrow would be doing this :banghead: if he knew to what lows the media has sunk.

4. I thought it was great!
I think it was a very well done movie. Great acting, directing, script.

It was short and sweet. To the point, not over done.

Overall, a great flick.

5. excellent piece of work...the way the old and new footage was
seamed together was absolutely brilliant and the monochromatic black and white was a peaceful change on the old eyeballs. Casting was inspired!!!

6. I really enjoyed the movie
I've been wondering for a while now who would step up to that level for us now.

7. It had a "real feel" to it,
as if a documentary crew in 1954 were filming behind the scenes. I liked it.

8. I just saw it on PPV a week ago.
I thought it was excellent.

My stepmother's cousin said I wouldn't understand that movie because I didn't live through that time. :wtf:
