Just got back from Miho Museum, the one IM Pei designed - wow!

I've been a fan of Pei for years, and have wanted to see this museum in person for years - I've seen many pictures, even seen a television show on it, and believe me: the pictures do NO JUSTICE to the experience of being there in person.

One of the most beautiful structures, melding landscape and interior perfectly, that I've ever been graced to experience.

That one experience, going up the cherry-tree lined road, through the amazingly beautiful tunnel, over the bridge and up the steps to the museum itself and then to walk into the building and see Misono out the back window, was worth the entire cost of the trip to Japan.
