This Is So Sick! But I Can't Help It.
Did anyone else see the little article about the pastor who got electrocuted while he was baptising someone in one of those pool things some of the churches use.

All I could picture was this guy shooting out a million volts while standing over someone in the water. Everyone probably thought it was some kind of miracle until they realized the poor guy was dead.

My mind would not be a horrible thing to waste - sometimes.

1. I don't know. I'm pretty rational and I attend baptisms. I would have
seen it as a guy getting electrocuted. A woman accidentally caught her hair on fire a few years ago at an Easter Vigil. I didn't see it as God speaking to me (think burning bush). I, and everyone else, saw it as a woman catching her hair on fire...so we dumped a bunch of holy water from the said font on her. :hi:

2. Boy, that was quick thinking!
You know, when I was little the Boy Scouts met in a little Baptist Church over by us and I would go. They had this baptism pool and it always scared me to death. I thought you had to be naked in front of the whole church and I really couldn't imagine anything worse than that.

I haven't ever seen baptisms like that so I don't know what they wear but I don't think they have to be naked.

Funny how little kids see things.

5. Hehehehe. At the church I used to belong to (Catholic) they wore
white robes. Only babies were dunked naked. :hi:

3. Ever see anybody get electrocuted?
It's, perhaps unfortunately, not like in the movies where there's lots of sparks and smoke and hair standing on end.

They just get rigid and then quickly fall over dead.

4. Oh, well. So much for that image in my head.
I really hope that I don't see someone get electrocuted. I would rather not.
