What are some good serious topics for the Lounge?
Some things are best left in GD as we all know, but what are some serious things we can talk about in the Lounge?

1. Serious? The Lounge?
Umm...does not compute. :argh: :nuke:

No, really, there can be serious things not of a political nature...everyday social interaction issues are what spring to mind immediately. Although that might just because my social life sucks from here to September.

18. Thanks
Long time Daily Kos blogger, and MyDD, BlueNC.

Don't know how I missed this place.

Am a candidate for Board of Education and need to get m post count up so I can start a thread on the North Carolina forum.

Cook Out is in North Carolina only as far as I know. Best burgers and shakes anywhere for very little money.

Burgers are grilled. Drive thru only. Open very late.

It's the corner left-hand icon above this post. I have a Blogroll of over 200 sites.

You heard what our town did! Where are you, if you don't mind my asking? If you do, that's ok too! :D

The School Board election is Forsyth county wide, not much smaller a race than one for a U.S. Congressional District in terms of voters. The county is split into two "zones" and mine comprses about 70%, all but the inner city more or less.

Will check out your journal.

;)

Saints are strong, smart and loyal. They are intelligent problem solvers. Some people don't like that. Of the big dogs they are stronger and smarter. Newfies trump on the swimming thing, though.

All of our dogs have been mixes, except for our last one. She was a Saint. Just the best dog, ever. I still tear up thinking of her.

Check out Camp Wellstone at www.wellstone.org. If you can't make it to a camp soon check out the book, it is quite helpful. And e-mail them. These people are awesome. They really can help the way you campaign and get out the vote. And check to see if your local dems are helping progressives. There are more organizations helping progressive candidates. We need to win at all levels.
