Saw a couple of Royals games right after that new stadium was built, with its then state-of-the-art scoreboard, fountains, and fireworks. Lou Piniella, Amos Otis, Fred Patek and a bunch of other great players on the team back then.
I always thought KC, MO was a nice town. I don't think I've been through Warrensburg. Did you grow up there?

Originally from Wisconsin but moved to Marshall, MO when I was a teen. (Sedalia is about in the middle-Marshall is 30 miles northeast of Sedalia and Warrensburg is about 30 miles west of Sedalia).
You might have been through Warrensburg and not have known it. It's right on 50 hwy, which many from Sedalia drive to get to KC. Warrensburg is where Central MO State University is and the town is near Whiteman AFB.

101. Since we've already jacked the thread, |
|
where in Wisconsin are you from?
I lived in Madison in 1964-1965 and Black Earth from 1965-1969, before being jolted out of that happy hide-and-seek-in-the-cornfields delirium into the grooviness of Alexandrian, Virginia from 1969-1971.

After I graduated college in Chapel Hill I moved to Los Angeles, but my whole family is still there. Even though he grew up poor in the mountains, he did a lot. He tells me stories about being in the Air Force stationed in Greece. He played football with guys from the Greek Army and made friends, spending his breaks with them (before he went to Vietnam). He and my mother raised me to explore, and I really hope I do them proud.
