Monday, May 15; William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day:

"Oh, were mine eyeballs into bullets turn'd,
That I in rage might shoot them at your faces!"

Henry VI, Part I, Act IV, Scene 7, Lines 89-90.

3. And another:

'Meet it is, I set it down
That one may smile, and smile
And be a villain.'

Hamlet: Act I, Scene 5.

5. That's very similar to a quote from "Richard III", as well.
I don't have my Shakespeare Quotations book in front of me (I'm at work), but I believe it is from the opening soliloquy (Now is the winter of our discontent...) and runs: "Why, I can smile and smile, and be a villian whilst I smile..."

7. It's ' I can smile. And murder while I smile.'
Still fairly similar, though.

8. Thanks for the help.
:-)

I can't believe I forgot that one. I was in a production of Richard III once. I wasn't Richard, though. I played Clarence, who enters right after this monologue, so I should know it.

6. Thanks, CalPeg.
They aren't getting a huge reception right now, but I'll keep plugging away. "Today In The Lounge" and "Today In The Underground Railroad" both started out small, and developed huge followings.

I miss those features. :-(

It sounds as though they were nice, though......

10. Yeah, they were terrific.
Now that I remember, it was actually "A Day In The Lounge", but I can't remember who hosted it. It would have some good trivia questions, wish some people happy birthday, and ask some interesting random questions. It was a lot of fun. I haven't seen it in, oh, probably three years or so.

DU-er Undergroundrailroad hosted "The Underground Railroad" until mid-2004 or so.

Great daily features that I really miss. Thought I'd start my own. Thanks for being my first regular.:loveya:
