I am supposed to be paying bills and working on scrapbook pages...
(this is for the preschool scrapbook that will be distributed to several people next week), but here I am, futzing around on DU.

Paying the bills will take 10 minutes tops. Why I am I practicing such procrastination?

2. I work best under a deadline...
but I don't want to be feverishly working on scrapbook pages half an hour before I need to be finished. I want them to be good. And I really ought to get the bills paid so I can file this pile of crap on my desk. :D

4. Here's what I do with tasks I put off...
I set a timer for 30 min and then I get to work. I can do anything for 30 min. I get to stop if I want after the time is up but I find with the timer going I work harder and am almost done with most tasks by then so I just finish up. The job is then done, or mostly done, and I can go do something I want to do like posting on DU! :)

6. That's a good idea!
I love scrapbooking, but I do it when the spirit moves me, usually. This time I have to do it whether I'm in the mood or not, so setting a timer might help. It's almost guaranteed that once I get started I'll start feeling creative - I just need to get started.

On the plus side, I paid the bills and filed that stack of paper. Yay!

5. I'm supposed to be at work, but I am playing hookey.
The weather here is just so beautiful today that I decided to stay home and enjoy it. I have 10 days sick leave and never use it, so I am taking advantage of it.
