So, I am now an official evacuee of flooding in Massachusetts
Even though I live on the fourth floor, and there is no danger whatsoever of any water reaching my apartment, I am now living in a hotel for at least a couple of days (thankfully paid for by the apartment complex). Apparently due to the fact that the first floor is highly suceptible to flooding because we are right on the river, and the first floor is very low lying (it also contains stuff like turbines, generators, etc. that could short out and cause all kinds of nastiness).

The cats are fine. They are situated on the fourth floor with loads of food and water, and I've been assured that if I can't return in 2 days time, the property manager will go up herself to feed the kitties for me. . .

Of course it was all made much easier by a female who I am rapidly falling madly in love with who not only is a great companion but managed to help me keep my sanity through the whole ordeal of getting home last night and having to rapidly pack up a bunch of stuff and leave. So to her, I say thank you!

3. take care when you go out, ETAwful !
i'm in the Merrimack Valley too --- so much water!

we're doing ok here, just a leaking sliding door and a constant trickle in the basement.
some roads are closed in town, schools were closed yesterday but open today.
Every town around us is closed again today but somehow the school buses made their routes and the schools have no problems.
As I type this, the sky is actually brightening and I can see where the clouds are hiding the sun.

... I wonder what the summer mosquitos will be like.... ?

enjoy your Wet Romance :)
