4. what makes you think he didn't? It probably works much better than my
time machine that I made out of an old toaster, the alternator from a 1974 Buick Skylark, and 200,000 Q-tips. It works, but I can only go forward in time, at the rate of 1 second per second.

Try doing a search on "Quincy" ... that's the Inventor's name ... here:

No patent for any teleportation device has been granted.
