Poll question: Prom Poll - may already have been done but I missed it.
Did you go to your H.S. prom? Any of them?

(As a partier, not as the entertainment)

3. I just saw photos of you.
If you tell me you're old enough to have a child that old, I find it hard to believe. :hi:

8. Not so much
I had a really good tiem at my date's prom and since I was not the most socially person ever I wasn't wild about going to my own prom anyhow. The thing I was dissapointed about was that I'd already bought the dress when I got sick and formals aren't returnable.

9. Yes, going to prom was sort of an expected thing
Yes, there were a few people who didn't go, but almost everyone did. Prom was free for juniors and seniors at my school. You weren't required to have a date.
My graduating class was 64. Most people had to go to things like that or it ruined it for everyone. By not going, you were letting your school community down.

12. no - started an alternative party
a bunch of us from assorted local schools had a party up in the Oakland hills, a couple of bands some kegs. around 200 people showed up. Our party was in 1973 & the parties continued every year for at least 10 years. my younger brother went to one of the last parties but he also went to his prom.
I've never regretted not going to any of my proms. my wife feels the same way about her proms.

and then I went with a friend's brother the next year, kind of as a favor.

16. I went to two high school proms
Edited on Wed May-17-06 01:41 AM by socialdemocrat1981
I did my final year subjects over two years (a special arrangement with the school) so I was afforded the opportunity to attend the prom for the year I had gone through school with and the prom for the year that I joined in order to complete my final school year
