Why do I hate Clay Aiken?

I really want to know. Every time I look at him or hear him, a wave of sheer, blinding hatred passes through me.

It's nothing to do with his voice; he's not a bad singer. Why does he fill me with such unspeakable rage? Why do I hate him?

I don't follow him closely, but I've seen him interviewed and he seems like a nice enough guy.

Of course the whole "Idol" thing is manufactured falsity. But I don't hate Aiken - he sings well enough and he seems like a nice young man.

I hate it when make up artists use foundation on the lips, but don't even bother to color them. It makes him look dead. That is my most shallow reason, but I don't think he can sing either. I don't like his voice. I don't like the type of music he wants to sing. I don't like his fundy attitude. I don't like that nobody seems to mention how utterly gay he is. I don't understand why little girls like him. I don't like how they made a point to give Ruben the American Idol prize but then talk up Clay as a bigger winner because THEY gave him a bigger contract! I liked Ruben much more than Clay and thought that he was infinitely more talented. CLAY IS A CREEPY, VIRGIN FUNDY AND PROUD OF IT! Yuk, give me Ruben or Kelly any day.

10. You probably hate some aspect

of what you think he represents, rather than Clay himself. I don't think he's been in the public eye long enough to come across as too much of an individual.

I think Clay is a good singer. He needs to explore what kind of material would be best for him. He's still feeding off/getting advice from the AI folks. That's ok in the beginning, but it will not sustain a lifelong career.
