I went hiking! Here's some pics!
There's a great hiking trail just north of Bozeman Montana. It's not very long, but can be quite strenuous. There's actually three routes. A "popular" way, a "shortcut" and a "rigorous" way. These routes are about 1.5 miles, 1 mile, and 0.5 miles respectively:

It's a short hike, but seeing as we're about a mile high, and the elevation gain is over 800 feet it can kick your ass. O, but the view's worth it:

What you're hiking to is a giant letter "M" at the top of a grassy mountainside. It's quite steep up there, probably close to 45 degrees.

The M is made up of rocks in a wooden frame that gets whitewashed every year or so. A few weeks ago someone spraypainted some red stripes onto the M for some reason or another. Since the media has been completely silent, I'll assume the police aren't even aware of this, even though you can see the stripes from town!

And purely for vanity's sake, here's DinoBoy and DB's SO Eric:

It was honestly very sunny and hot that day, even though the sky looks overcast. It was a little hazy for sure, but it wasn't about to rain by any means.

2. That day we took the blue trail
This afternoon I took the pink trail. The pink trail is death.

3. Can't have been that bad
You are still here to tell the tale.

I did a little hike yesterday myself--Las Posadas. You know, that place that the pretzledent rode his bike when he visited the Napa Valley. Only I stayed up top on the straight and level, the wimp's trail. Wild iris, Diogenes lanterns, the "rock farm." I'll post some photos when I get around to pulling the flash card out of my camera. The little stream was still running after all our late (and constant) rains.

4. Beautiful scenery!
I haven't been to Montana for years, but I've always remembered how beautiful I found it to be!

6. Nice! I'm going to be in Montana next weekend
But I'm used to hiking and mountain biking at 8500 to 10,000 feet elevation where I live. So I think it might be a bit easier for me. :)

Nice pics, and you two are adorable!
