my mattress is half on the frame and half off (organic cotton futon mattress) over a wooded frame that's only about 4" high. There was an incident last night involving a spider falling into my bed. Much screaming, flailing and searching took place. I even put one of my bearded dragons under the frame so he could eat the damn thing. The useless beast took much more interest in licking the carpet, chewing on one of frame's screws and finally crawled up out of the frame, walked over to it's tank and stared at the food bowl until it was put away. The spider was never found. I'm trying not to think about it. At least I know that if that dragon ever escapes it's cage, it will wander back and stare at it's foodbowl.
