Man gets probation after stabbing kitty.

ARVADA - A 39-year-old man was sentenced to probation Friday for stabbing a cat six times with a sword.

Arvada Police say Richard Davis stabbed the cat with a 2-foot sword in August 2005 after it scratched and bit his fiancée.

The cat, named "Precious," was badly injured, but survived.

There was once even an article to this effect in a cat magazine I used to get. This is a very bad sign, and this woman would be well advised to seriously consider breaking off the engagement, at least until he has gotten the help he has been ordered to get, and then long enough to see that he has actually changed.

I sure hope the fiancée dumps him. If she doesn't she's a damn fool and someday may be a dead one.

As for the cat... the poor thing must have been scared out of her mind and frantic to get back to her kittens if she had just given birth. Hopefully she (and her kittens if they found them) will be worked with by someone who understands ferrals (strays) and learn that not all humans are that monsterous. :nuke:
