When you could otherwise sleep in, on your free time...

For me, this used to include scuba, and sailing.

For others, I suppose golf, whatever sports they like, etc...

1. I don't really like sleeping in - unless I was up unusually late.
Even then, "sleeping in" means 7:30.

I like to get up early and exercise, then enjoy the newspaper or the forums with a cup of coffee. Sometimes I exercise at home, sometimes I go out for a walk or run, sometimes I go to the gym.

3. To answer my true reply
would result in a thread lock. Let's just say it is to spend time with my husband before he goes to work.

4. I don't like sleeping in on Saturdays.
I feel like the day is getting away from me. I like to get up and read, hang out on DU, listen to some music, and chill out.

5. Sleeping
No, really. The only reason I'm usually up earlier on weekends than on weekdays is that Plato is a very persistent alarm clock, and if I don't get up to feed the hordes, my day will start in a very shrill fashion, courtesy of the s.o.'s short fuse regarding these matters.

And yes, I'm a complete tool.

And yes, I'd pay some serious $$ to have the s.o. get up JUST ONCE and let me sleep in JUST ONCE.

And yes, I'm a complete tool. But we've established that already.

11. Years ago, we used to get up early enough to watch
old black and white Betty Boop cartoons after partaking of our herbal remedy. Then, we'd have a big brunch and go to the antique flea market.

We'd get up for that.

13. Garage sales and flea markets, mostly for books
Went to one this morning with my mom and got a perfect hardback copy of Tracy Kidder's "Mountains Beyond Mountains" for $1. Well worth losing sleep for!

17. Writing
But by "early" we're talking anywhere from around 4-5 before the kids are up for the day.

18. Rowing!!!
I row Saturday and Sunday mornings. 7:00 a.m. mind you! It's so peaceful and beautiful that time of the morning. Also, almost every evening. Btw, I'm in the bow (first one on the left).
