The Trojan cooling tower implosion will be televised locally in Portland, OR tomorrow at 7 a.m. Pacific. Some theories suggest this isn't just about cleaning up old junk from the landscape.

This annoying media outlet, among others, will be streaming the festivities live over the web, with lots of breathless talk slated to begin at 6 a.m.

Unbeatable site.

I really like the understated grace of the Mayfair Hotel implosion, but the Combined Bachelor's Quarters demolition sequence has that that persistent, rhythmic hammering toward the building's own final destruction, the repetitive pounding that stands and falls as a powerful metaphor for, er, something.
