1. I am not a Cardinals or White Sox fan but
I would love to see the Cubs go a century without winning the world series and another without winning a pennant. Break a leg Kerry Wood :D.

2.  that may be true
but seeing AJ Pierzynski get his ass beaten on made me feel funny in the pants (MUCH respect to the ChiCubs for that)! AJ has had that shit coming to him for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, and it cannot happen to him again soon enough...

and as an aside, maybe the cubs would like Billy Wagner and Willie Randolph in a trade....the Mets don't want anything in return other than the promise that they NEVER try to trade them back!

5. One of my die-hard Cubs fan friends said that actually.
:D

He had good reason for it, too. After last year a whole lot of people jumped on the White Sox bandwagon and it really changed the paradigm of Sox fandom, some might not say for the better.

7. The Cubs can't win the World Series because they always field
a really bad team.

8. Not necessarily...
They've frequently fielded very good teams. Problem is....well...they're the Cubs.

2008.

That's when it'll happen.
