My latest from Caracas Venezuela...(very exciting)...
to me, anyway...ok, ok, maybe only "the guys" will find this exciting...

we stopped and drank a few beers outside the "Chacaito" subway station, which has a large, very open plaza with shops and music etc. We then walked west, and it turned into a very tight crowded flea market area. "Ms. ret5hd" bought a belt at one stall, and the lady there told her (in spanish, of course) "Be very careful here!". We walked on down a block or so, and SUDDENLY two teens, one pushing an obviously plastic gun into my chest and the other grabbing-juerking at our new video-camera yelling something...it all happened so quick...i just kept yelling "fuck you! fuck you!"...then they both disappeared into the dense crowd...AND I STILL HAD THE CAMERA! (even if it does need repair now)(which had our entire vacation on it!) One of the stall-keepers said (in spanish, of course) "It could have been worse!". And "Ms. ret5hd" totally kept her cool. Totally.

It was a good ending to an exciting story, and we expect to be back monday pm.

1. I am excited to hear
about your trip. Glad you are both OK. Very scary.

I have always wanted to go there, was close enough to see the mountains once but have never set foot in Venezuela.

2. A fortunate ending,
It is good that none were harmed.
