Found a dog yesterday
Actually my daughter and her friends found it while walking home from a local festival in the area. They were walking on the railroad tracks taking a short cut home. One of her friends turned around and following behind them was a smallish brown mutt. She followed them for about 5 blocks. My daughter called me and told me that I need to come get them because they found a dog and didn't know what to do. When I get there about tow blocks from my house all three girls are there with this cute little mutt. She was very friendly and when we put her in the car she seemed very comfortable. When we got her home I noticed that she knew how to sit was very nervous but quite comfortable in a house and was very well taken care of. (clipped nails, didn't smell, well feed) I knew she had to belong to someone. We put a leash on her and got back in the car to head back to the area where the girls first saw her. I stopped a few times to ask people if they knew who she belonged to. By the third stop the women said that two women were just here looking for a brown dog and they were crying. The only info was they were in a silver car. So we drove over a few streets and there I see two women getting out of a car and looking around. When we pulled they saw the dog in my car and started to cry again. They were so happy to get "Jackie" back! Apparently she slipped her collar and they had a posse out looking for her for hours. It was just getting dark so they were so happy.

I love happy endings!

5. Yes thats what I figured
When she said what can I give you- I just told her to someday return the favor if she ever finds a stray.

Thank you for going that little extra step in order to help the dog. So many people would not have taken the time. I'm glad you did. There needs to be more people like you!

13. It is a great feeling to have helped a poor animal.
I recently found a home for a dog dumped in front of my home. She was the friendliest thing but skin and bones. I couldn't keep her as I have 6 already and they didn't like the idea of another dog joining the pack. I spent over 150 dollars on her to get spayed, all her shots and a checkup. I then gave her to a family I found on the net that wanted her. The best money I ever spent.

14. For my son I thank you. we went through that a while back
His dog was hit by a cr and took off at a dead-run.
We hunted and hunted for hours and hours, days and days.

Some God-sent good samaritan found Griffey and took him to a vet who called my son and Dog was reunited with his human.

Thank you, we need more good people like you!
