You Know, I Feel Kinda Left Out - I've Never Gone On A Rant Before
I've seen other DUers rant and rave about things. Write paragraph after paragraph of blistering anti-Bush, anti-GOP stuff. It all seems very cool and very fun, but I just don't know what I should rant about.

What things could I rant about that haven't been screamed about before on here?

I really wanna know because I think I'd make a good ranter. :D

So what's pissing you off today?

"OH MY GOD... Good economic news, we're toast!'. That happens at least twice daily.

4. Gerrymandering
There are not nearly enough rants on DU about how gerrymandering of districts is robbing us of a true representative democracy.

This GD thread is dying, and could use a rant from you:

Supreme Court looks at Redistricting today

8. All righteous Ranting issueth from the Spirit
I don't mean the Holy Spirit, I mean the Fightin' Spirit. Two different birds entirely!

When ranting becomes too practiced, it loses all its power. Save it for when your anger has reached the point of festering. Transmutate that festering into thought and passion. Then let loose and rant.

That's really the only way to do it.

10. I feel a rant coming on...
about alleged "liberals" who won't support Kerry because of the IWR vote despite his long history of supporting liberal causes who then turn around and support Dean despite the fact that he's not a liberal. It's like they refuse to look at Dean's record and the things he may have suported or opposed that they would disagree with but they hold ONE VOTE against Kerry.

There's something in the voting or personal history of EVERY candidate that I disagree with strongly. If I let that turn me off completely to any candidate then I just wouldn't have anyone to vote for. Sheesh.

11. True Story
I think Kerry is a thoughtful, experienced candidate. I just wish he wouldn't look so mournful.

14. Rant about the DU Lounge!
Particularly, (not pointing fingers here, I'm guilty too) the way everyone rushes to post something versus carrying on a legitimate dialogue. I know I get frustrated when I make some kinda point and I keep looking back and see no replies at all. Maybe it's my breath...

15. Sounds to me like you're pretty even tempered...
... to have been on this board for so long and never once ranted about anything.

You are to be commended for that, imo. Ranting just dumbs down the discourse.

... if, of course you go by Webster's definition:

rant

\Rant\, n. High-sounding language, without importance or dignity of thought; boisterous, empty declamation; bombast; as, the rant of fanatics.

16. A friend forwarded an email from a Freeper instructor
filled with idiotic assertions like "Fascism = Communism" and "Do you need a mushroom cloud in your backyard before you accept that these nuts have weapons and want to use them (Most of which have Made in France on them, I'm sure)." God, I've ripped this idiot to shreds many times in my head. As much as I'd love to, I refrain from posting the full text on this site because it is an email.
