I feel like I've been gone forever!

I took a 20-day break back in March, so I'm not surprised when people take long breaks.

she may have no idea he was treating kids like that.

By the way, I wanted to tell you...don't worry about your son turning out like me, just because I had a similar experience at 7! I had to switch schools in the very middle of the year during 1st grade, and I think that was worse than anything. I have heard that first grade is the most important year in elementary school.

17. I'm almost positive she doesn't know...

But I also wouldn't be surprised to learn she's victimized by this guy. Anybody who could be cruel to a child is probably not real great with adults either.
